Most junk haulers take one look at a gun safe bolted into a basement floor and walk away. We don’t. For 35 years we’ve moved the heaviest, most awkward things in Seattle homes — uprights and baby grands down switchback staircases, hot tubs over fences, and yes, safes that weigh more than the people moving them. Same skill, same equipment, same insured crew. You point at the safe; we do the rest.

Drag the slider to see a real Junk B Gone job: the heavy piece gone, the floor clear, nothing left behind. It’s the same care we bring to a 900-lb safe — your space comes back to you spotless.
A real JBG job in Seattle. We don’t stage before/after photos.

BeforeAfter
Send a photo and the rough weight, brand, and where it sits. We give you an estimated price range the same day.
We confirm the access — stairs, doorways, turns — and lock in an all-inclusive price. No surprises, no add-ons later.
Stair-climbing dollies, straps, and a trained crew. The safe leaves, the steel gets recycled, and your floor is clean.
We move 600+ lb pianos and hot tubs every week. A floor safe is squarely in our wheelhouse — we have the dollies, straps, and muscle for it.
Basement safe? Second-floor office? Switchback staircase with a 90° landing? Thirty-five years of Seattle homes means we’ve solved your exact layout before.
Our crews are insured and trained to protect floors, walls, and door frames. If a safe needs careful handling, careful is what you get.
An old safe is hundreds of pounds of recyclable steel. We route it to scrap recycling, not the landfill — and you don’t deal with any of it.
Same family, same crews since 1989. We pick up the phone, we show up on time, and we know every neighborhood from Ballard to Bellevue.
The number we give you is all-inclusive — labor, hauling, disposal, recycling. No “heavy item” surcharge sprung on you at the curb.

Real photos from Junk B Gone safe & heavy-haul jobs — a keypad gun safe out of a Seattle home, plus our truck and the Kirkland basement/closet we cleared on the same visit. Curated from the JBG Gun Safe photo set.
We don’t price safes sight-unseen, because weight, stairs, and access change everything. Tell us what you’ve got, we give you a firm all-inclusive number, and that’s the price — labor, hauling, and steel recycling included. Most safe removals land in the range below.
Final price depends on weight, stairs, and access. Quoted firm before we start.
It depends on the safe’s weight, whether stairs are involved, and how tight the access is — those three things drive the labor. Most safe removals run $350–$1,200. We give you a firm, all-inclusive quote up front (labor, hauling, and recycling included), and that number is the price you pay. No surprise heavy-item fees.
Yes, that’s most of our safe work. We use stair-climbing dollies, straps, and a trained crew to bring safes down basement staircases or out of second-floor rooms. Tell us about the stairs and any tight landings when you reach out so we bring the right gear and crew size.
Absolutely. We move 600+ lb pianos and hot tubs every week, so a heavy gun or floor safe is right in our wheelhouse. We’ve moved safes well over 1,000 lbs. Send us the brand and model if you have it and we’ll confirm the crew and equipment for the weight.
Locked is fine; we don’t need it open to move it. If it’s bolted to the floor or set in concrete, let us know — we can usually unanchor it as part of the job. We’ll confirm anything unusual during the on-site quote so there are no surprises.
A safe is hundreds of pounds of recyclable steel. We route it to a scrap-metal recycler rather than the landfill whenever possible. You don’t have to coordinate any of it — once it’s on our truck, it’s handled.
Often same-day or next-day. Send a photo and your address and we’ll get you a quote quickly, then schedule a pickup that works for you. Saturday pickups are normal; Sundays on request.
“They moved a gun safe that two other companies refused to touch — down a narrow basement stairwell, no damage at all. Quick and professional.”
“On time, polite, and the quote was the final price. They made hauling a 600-pound safe look easy.”
“Same family business for decades and it shows. They protected my floors and walls the whole way out. Highly recommend.”
