Two extra sets of hands

The crew opens the boxes and lifts things up so you can see what's actually in there, then carries whatever you release. You make the calls and do none of the lifting. They never argue, never editorialize about what you're keeping, and never hurry you.

The hour-3 checkpoint

At the three-hour mark the crew stops and asks whether you want to keep going. Nothing continues on autopilot.

What you're keeping goes back where you can find it

This is the part that makes it stick. We compact what you're keeping into labeled bins, assemble the shelving and put it back within reach — so the space is cleaner and easier to use when we leave, not just emptier.

Donations, disposal, receipt

Everything you've released leaves with us that day, carried out and loaded by hand so the reusable things stay reusable. They go to a charitable partner, and the donation receipt is in your hand before we pull away.

What we bring

The bins and the shelving come with us.

This is what turns a cleared floor into an organized space. We compact what you're keeping into labeled bins and put them on shelving we build on the day, so you get the room back and can still find what's in it. The kit is loaded before we leave our yard, so there's no hardware-store run halfway through your garage.

What it costs

$75 per pro, per hour. An honest estimate before we start.

You're paying for two sets of hands and the truck they came in. Disposal is separate: we give you an estimated range up front — a quarter to half a truck, for example — and if the day is going to run past it, the crew tells you as you go and gets your OK first.

Your price range comes at the video walk-through. Every space is different, so we don't guess at a total from a web page. Twenty free minutes over video gets you an estimate for your own space — labor plus disposal — before you book anything.

Two-hour minimum — $300 of crew time. That's the two hours at the hourly rate, not a flat fee: enough time for the day to be worth doing, and short enough that a first try isn't a big commitment.
Disposal on our standard volume rate card — the same rates every Junk B Gone customer pays. Nothing marked up for this service.
An estimated disposal range before we start — a quarter to half a truck, for example. Nobody knows exactly how much will go until you've decided, so if you're releasing more than expected, the crew updates you along the way and gets your approval before it goes past the range.
Bins and shelving are available to buy from us — itemized, and only for what you keep. Putting the shelving together is part of the hourly rate. Use your own instead and there's nothing to pay.
A $300 deposit — your two-hour minimum, prepaid — holds your date. It comes straight off your total, and it's 100% refundable up to 24 hours before your day.

The hour-3 checkpoint Three hours in, the crew stops and asks whether you want to continue. You can end the day there, and often people do. It is a real stopping point, not a formality.

No disposal surprises You get an estimated range before the crew starts, and if the load is going to exceed it, you hear about it — and approve it — while everything is still on the ground. No line item ever appears on the invoice that you haven't already heard.

What does a Sort and Haul Day actually cost?

Labor is $75 per pro per hour — $150 an hour for your two-person crew — with a two-hour minimum. Disposal is separate, on our standard volume rate card; you get an estimated range before the crew starts, and if the day is going to run past it they update you and get your approval as you go. We don’t publish a typical total, because every space is different — you get the range for your own space at the free twenty-minute video walk-through, before you book anything.

How is this different from hiring a professional organizer?

There is real overlap, so here is the honest line. We bring clear bins, labels and garage shelving, we assemble the shelving and put what you’re keeping back on it, and two people work alongside you the whole time. What we don’t do is custom closet systems, drawer inserts, or a pantry styled for photographs — if that’s what you’re after, hire an organizer.

The difference that matters is the truck. Our crew does the lifting, and what you release is gone the same afternoon instead of sitting in sorted piles in the garage waiting on a second service to come move it. That second step is where most clear-outs stall.

Do you bring the bins and shelves, or do I?

We bring them. Clear lidded totes, garage shelving units, labels and separate donation boxes are loaded on the truck before we leave our yard, so there is no mid-afternoon hardware-store run.

They are yours to buy if you want them, itemized on your invoice and only for what you keep. We put the shelving together and load your things back onto it, and that is part of the hourly rate, not an extra. Can you help my mom if I live out of state?

Yes — this is one of the most common ways the day gets booked. The walk-through is over video, so distance makes no difference. We send you the estimate and the crew’s names and photos, and coordinate the day directly with your mom. You’ll get a call from the crew when they arrive and again when they finish, plus the donation receipt by email if you’re not there to take it.

What if we don't get through everything in one day?

That’s normal, and it’s why the hour-3 checkpoint exists — the crew stops and asks whether you’d like to keep going rather than working straight through. Whatever you’ve released leaves that day regardless. If we don’t finish the specific space we quoted, we come back and finish it free.

What happens to the things we let go of?
