We are experts at safely and efficiently removing your old hot tub. Difficult access? Big hot tub? No problem – we’re pros at removing hot tubs.
Junk B Gone was amazing; I used them for an apartment downsize for a cross country move - mostly furniture but also some electronics. Protip, if you have old batteries then have them haul them away - no need to take them somewhere for disposal! They stopped by a week before to provide an estimate (you need to request this). Their rates were about HALF of that blue-truck-800-company, the movers were professional and packed everything like Tetris blocks (important as the charge depends on how full the truck is) and all customer service issues were addressed handily. They’re A+ all around.

I can't say enough good things about this service. It was fast, easy, and affordable. I was honestly dreading figuring out how we were going to get rid of all of the random things that needed taking care of, and they were able to help with all of it. 10/10 would use again or recommend to anyone looking for yard/junk/recycling/electronics/etc removal/recycling services.

Disposal Methods
At Junk B Gone, we have a team of experts who have removed literally hundreds (maybe thousands?) of hot tubs in Seattle and the surrounding areas. We have a fleet of large trucks and strong men who can get the hot tub out of it’s present location and onto the back of our trucks for disposal.
First we will schedule an appointment to come and assess the removal in person. While phots are helpful, it’s always best for us to come and check it out in person to see what’s involved in removing the hot tub. Often times access to the hot tub is limited, perhaps through a narrow gate or pathway, which may require us to cut up the hot tub or otherwise come up with a plan. An onsite assessment allows us to give you the most fair and honest estimate prior to starting the removal.
After we provide a free quote and it’s approved, often times we can do the removal during the same visit. On some occasions we will need to schedule the removal for another date, perhaps to get special tools or an additional crew there to assist us with the removal. Our goal is to make the removal of your hot tub as quick and convenient for you as possible.
We’ll then take the hot tub to the disposal facility, which could either be recycled or trashed at the dump depending on the materials and condition of the hot tub.
Our minimum price for a small hot tub with a very straightforward removal (e.g. no disassembly, easy access, etc.) is $300 in Seattle and includes all labor, disposal fees and Junk B Gone never charges any surcharges for mileage. However if your removal requires disassembly, complicated removal requiring the hot tub to be cut up, or if the hot tub is very large and heavy the price will be higher than our minimum and our team will provide you with a quote upon their visit.
Free standing hot tubs are the most common type of hot tubs we removed, like the one pictured to the left. Often times the hot tub is wrapped in some kind of wood or fake wood product and is positioned on a patio or deck.
These are the easiest hot tubs for us to remove, because often they can be tipped onto their side and rolled out on a dolly and loaded into our trucks.
We’ve removed just about every manufacturer of hot tubs, but in case you’re not sure if we can remove your hot tub we’ve included a list of hot tub manufacturers below where we can remove their tubs for you:

Built in hot tubs don’t have a cabinet surrounding the hot tub and are intended to be built into a deck like the picture to the right (or below on mobile). These hot tubs tend to weigh less than their stand alone counterparts, but are often attached to the deck and require our team to do some disassembly prior to lifting the hot tub out from the deck.
Sometimes access to these hot tubs is tricky, requiring our team to climb under a deck to disconnect power and drain the hot tub for our clients. No problem – we’re here to make it easy for you to get that hot tub removed!
There will be a hole left in the deck after we are finished, often times customers will have us install plywood over the hole to make it safe until they are able to put a permanent solution into place!
Swim spas are much larger than traditional hot tubs and hot quite a lot more water, as you can see in the photo to the left. These spas are very popular because they have a motor which creates a current to swim against and they are much smaller and less expensive than a swimming pool.
However they are much more challenging to remove than a hot tub due to their size and weight, often times they are installed in back yards or other places which are challenging to access.
We can help remove swim spas as well, typically we will cut them into pieces to avoid having to use a crane (which is very expensive) to remove the spa.
At Junk B Gone, we don’t just remove hot tubs; we create new opportunities for your outdoor space. Recently, we had the pleasure of assisting a Seattle family in transforming their backyard. They needed their old, bulky hot tub removed to make room for a brand-new play structure for their children. Our team swiftly and efficiently removed the hot tub, ensuring the family could reclaim their yard space and provide an enjoyable play area for their kids.
Our professional crew arrived on-site and promptly dismantled the hot tub, taking care of every detail from disconnecting power to safely removing all components. The family was delighted with our quick and hassle-free service, as they could immediately proceed with installing the play structure. Our expertise in hot tub removal in Seattle not only made their backyard more functional but also created lasting memories for the family as they watched their children enjoy the new play area.
As you can see in the video, we have many ways of getting a hot tub removed that may not seem obvious at first. This hot tub in the video is located in the back yard of a home with a very narrow pathway between the house and a neighbors fence. The owner didn’t think we could get the hot tub out without a crane; but what they didn’t realize that with a saws all and a couple hours time we were able to cut it up and remove it from their property. We also brought a shop vac to clean everything up when we were done!

Absolutely! At Junk B Gone, we are committed to minimizing landfill waste. We make every effort to recycle components of your hot tub whenever possible, and when recycling is not an option, we ensure that the tub is disposed of in an environmentally responsible way. Your old hot tub won’t be a burden on our planet when you choose us for your hot tub removal in Seattle.
We need the hot tub to be drained and ideally disconnected from power prior to our removing your hot tub. We can assist you with disconnecting the power, however it will come at an additional fee for that service.
Absolutely. Our team can remove hot tubs that are built into patios or decks. It takes a bit longer than with a freestanding hot tub but ultimately it’s just a function of more time to get it removed for you.
