How We Price Every Job
Pricing is based on three things — and only three things:
1. Volume — how much of the truck your load fills
2. Weight — heavier loads (concrete, dirt, roofing) take more handling
3. Ease of access — can we back the truck up to it, or are we hauling it down three flights of stairs?

No fuel surcharges. No travel fees. No "mattress fee," "fridge fee," or "appliance fee" the way other haulers do it. The price we quote on site is the price you pay — plus the 3.6% Washington State Refuse Tax that every Washington hauler is legally required to add.

What We Won't Haul
We handle just about everything Seattle throws at us — including bed bugs. The short list of what we won't take:
• Hazardous waste (chemicals, asbestos, medical waste)
• Ammunition, explosives, propane tanks
• Anything that could ignite in the truck
If you're not sure about an item, just ask. We'll either take it or point you to someone who can.

How does JBG price junk removal jobs?
We price based on volume, weight, and how hard the load is to access. No per-item fees, no fuel surcharges, no surprises. You get a firm quote before any work begins.
What's the minimum charge?
$99. That covers a single small item or a tiny load — and includes labor, hauling, and disposal.
Do you charge extra for mattresses, refrigerators, or hot tubs?
No. Other haulers tack on per-item fees for appliances and mattresses. We don't. These items are included in your base quote — there's no separate fee.
Are there ANY items with per-item fees?
Just two: paint and tires carry a small per-item disposal fee. We'll always disclose them upfront. Nothing else.
Do you charge fuel surcharges or distance fees?
Never. Whether you're in downtown Seattle, Mercer Island, or Tacoma, we don't tack on fuel or travel charges. We've been doing it this way since 1989.
How do I get a quote?

Is the quote binding?
Yes. Once we walk the job and give you a price, that's the price — assuming the load matches what we saw. We don't do bait-and-switch.
What's the 3.6% Washington State Refuse Tax?
It's a state-mandated tax that every Washington junk hauler is required to add to junk removal services. We disclose it upfront so there are no surprises on your invoice.
Do you offer senior, military, or referral discounts?
We offer something better — fair, honest pricing for everyone, every time. No gimmicks, no "discount" off an inflated price. You get the same straight number whether it's your first call or your fiftieth.
What won't you take?
Hazardous waste, asbestos, medical waste, ammunition, explosives, and propane tanks. If you're not sure about an item, just ask.
Why don't you publish a price list?
