Last week we cleared out a downtown Seattle office. The customer was moving locations and wanted everything gone — desks, files, breakroom, the whole floor. Standard commercial cleanout. Except for one thing.
Way Too Nice to Dump
Sixty-plus office chairs in the load — mesh-back task chairs, leather seats, a few drafting stools. Most were barely used. Our crew leader called the office: “These chairs are way too nice to dump. Want us to find them a home?” The customer said yes, no extra charge.

From Office to Classroom
We loaded the truck and drove them to the Mercer Island School District. Sixty-plus chairs, distributed across the district — including West Mercer Elementary (the #1-ranked public elementary school in Washington, per their own banner). The staff at West Mercer were generous enough to thank us on camera.
Every Job, We Donate What We Can
This isn’t a one-off. On every cleanout, our crew identifies what’s reusable BEFORE it gets loaded for disposal. Schools, shelters, families, nonprofits, and partner programs (Goodwill, charitable organizations like Second Spark) all benefit. The customer pays the same price either way — they just end up doing a little extra good without lifting a finger. Most customers don’t know to ask. Now you do.

Big Thanks to Mercer Island
Big thanks to the Mercer Island School District for taking such good care of these. Your kids and teachers are going to put a lot of good miles on those wheels.
If you’re planning an office, warehouse, or home cleanout in the Seattle area, ask us what’s reusable before we haul. We sort everything we touch — and finding good stuff a second home is honestly our favorite part of the job.
Free Estimate. No Pressure.
Same-day pickup is often available. We’ll quote on-site, do the lifting, and tell you exactly what’s getting donated, recycled, or landfilled.
